Hometown: O'Fallon, ILUndergraduate: Union University-Jackson, TNMedical School: Southern Illinois University School of Medicine-Springfield, ILResidency: University of Tennessee Family Medicine JacksonStats: I am married to my wonderful wife, Brittney, with whom I have a beautiful little girl, Palmer. They are both patiently waiting for me to surprise them with a puppy.Hobbies: I enjoy golfing, spending time with friends and family, playing music, and following football/St. Louis sports. What I did before medical school: I started medical school right out of undergrad, where I majored in Cell & Molecular Biology and minored in Mathematics. Why I chose UT-Jackson: I originally completed my residency at UT Jackson after choosing it for its broad scope of training, hands-on procedural opportunities, and incredibly fun atmosphere. Three years later, I chose to remain on as faculty after the program proved to be the ideal practice for me clinically, as well as an opportunity to put my newfound passion for teaching to work. As an added bonus, my wife and I love that an opportunity like this exists for us in her hometown!

Hometown: Rogersville, ALUndergraduate: The University of North AlabamaMedical School: Edward VIa College of Osteopathic Medicine - AuburnStats: Married to my favorite person, Russell, since June of 2019. We have two pups, Ollie and Hattie. Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, the outdoors, Peloton workouts, and reading. Also, I shamelessly enjoy reality TV and (poorly written) medical shows. What I did before medical school: I worked as a bank teller and as a patient care tech at a local hospital during undergrad. Why I chose UT-Jackson: I was lucky enough to spend a month at UT-Jackson during an audition rotation, and I knew almost immediately it was where I wanted to continue my medical training. I felt welcomed from the first day of my audition, and I could not help but notice all of the wonderful relationships that were comprised of even better people. There was such a strong sense of camaraderie between all of the residents, attendings, and staff, and this helped make an exceptional and enjoyable learning environment. Being from a small-town with intentions on practicing in a rural area, it was important for me to find an unopposed program that would offer full-scope training, and I knew by the end of my first day in Jackson that I would get that type of training here. Every single day felt like a new adventure with different pathologies, procedures, deliveries, etc., and I just knew this was the place I had to be! I am truly thrilled to be a part of this program, and I am looking forward to the next 3 years! 041b061a72
