Plot
The movie follows the story of Tarang Bharadwaj (Ajay Devgn), who was acquitted of murdering music mogul Ashwin Mehta (Vijayendra Ghatge) in the first film after his lawyer Raj Goyal (Akshaye Khanna) proved that he had a split personality disorder. However, it was later revealed that Tarang had faked his mental illness to escape punishment and had also developed an obsession with Raj's girlfriend Sargam (Urmila Matondkar), a popular singer.
In Deewangee 2, Tarang returns after 20 years with a new identity and a new plan. He has become a successful businessman and philanthropist named Raghav Singhania. He meets Naina (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), a journalist who is working on a story about him. He charms her with his charisma and generosity and soon proposes to her. Naina accepts his proposal without knowing his dark past.
